Who is responsible for collecting and processing your personal data?

The Portuguese Inter-branch organisation for the pigmeat sector, hereinafter Our Company or FILPORC, is the Data Controller, responsible for collecting and processing the User’s personal data. All personal data will be collected, processed and used in accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 3/2018, on Personal Data Protection and digital rights guarantees (hereinafter, LOPDGDD) and Regulations 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, dated 27 April 2016 on the protection of physical persons with regards to the processing of personal data and the free circulation of said data (hereinafter, GDPR). Your personal data may be transferred to the French Interprofessional Pork Council (INAPORC) with the purpose of carrying out the promotion campaign European Pork. Pork in Style together with FILPORC.

How will we use your data and what is the legal basis?

Our Company collects your data so that we can:

– Verify the legitimate interest in the scope of the campaign.

– Statistical purposes, based on our legitimate interests.

What data do we collect?

Our Company collects the following data:

– Personal identification information: email address

– Business information: company name

– Device information: information about the device and applications the Users operate to access emails, such as IP address, operating system, browser ID, and other information about used system and connection.

– Usage data: usage data about Users’ interactions with campaigns (and/or emails) sent, which may include dates and times you access campaigns (and/or emails) and browsing activities (such as what pages are viewed, and which emails are opened).

– Performance data: metrics related to the deliverability of emails and other electronic communications.

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide Our Company with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

– Voluntarily reply to an email or provide feedback on any of our emails, website or pages.

– Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

– Use or view our emails.

How do we store your data?

Our Company securely stores your data in our offices, which are in Portugal.

For how long do we store your data?

Users’ data will be retained for the minimum time period necessary to correctly render the service offered as well as to respond to any liabilities which may derive from the same and with regard to any other legal requirement.

In the case of the use of Users’ data to receive commercial communications from FILPORC, Users’ data will be retained until the User declares the wish to no longer receive said communications, whether through the means offered in the communications themselves or through any other means.

Transfer of personal data of Users to third parties

Your personal data may be transferred to INAPORC with the purpose of carrying out the promotion campaign Pork in Style, co-funded by the European Union.

The transfer of personal data of Users to other third parties will not take place without prior consent granted by the Users, except to physical or legal persons who are approved sub-processors of FILPORC to which the communication of said data is necessary for the correct and improved customer service, or by legal imperative.

FILPORC uses certain subprocessors in the general running of its business and to assist it in providing its services to its clients. A subprocessor is a third-party service provider or data processor engaged by FILPORC, who has or potentially will have access to or process personal data. FILPORC engages different types of subprocessors to perform various functions as explained below.

What are your data protection rights?

Our Company would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request Our Company for copies of your personal data.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Our Company correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Our Company to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Our Company erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Our Company restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Our Company’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Our Company transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
